Chanel in Paris seeks a Responsable Visual Merchandising (Manager) to lead boutique visual strategy, window concepts and rollouts across the network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the visual merchandising strategy and seasonal concepts for Chanel boutiques in the assigned territory, ensuring fidelity to brand identity.
  • Design and approve window displays, in-store vignettes and floor plans that translate campaign storytelling into commercial retail environments.
  • Plan and coordinate rollouts of visual directives across multiple stores, managing timelines, budgets and third-party vendors.
  • Lead, coach and develop the boutique visual merchandising team and local retail partners to sustain consistent execution and high presentation standards.
  • Collaborate closely with retail operations, product, marketing and store design teams to synchronize launches, product flows and promotional activations.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits to monitor compliance, capture best practice, and produce corrective action plans where necessary.
  • Manage resources including display props, mannequins and scenic elements; oversee maintenance, storage and procurement of materials.
  • Use sales and KPI data to iterate visual strategies that optimize conversion and product storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in a visual merchandising leadership role within luxury fashion or premium retail.
  • Proven ability to conceive and execute high-impact window and in-store displays that align with brand codes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience training retail teams and managing external suppliers/contractors.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budget oversight and multi-site rollout coordination.
  • High aesthetic sensitivity, attention to detail and a deep understanding of luxury customer expectations.
  • Fluent French and professional working knowledge of English preferred (if applicable to multi-market coordination).

Experience

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising within luxury fashion or high-end retail, including experience leading teams and managing multi-store rollouts and campaigns.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Retail Management or equivalent professional experience; formal training in display or set design is advantageous.
