Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Visual Merchandising Manager in implementing seasonal and capsule visual concepts across the boutique and window displays.
- Prepare, install and maintain in‑store displays, mannequins and shop fittings to brand standards and visual directives.
- Dress mannequins and style product combinations to highlight key looks and sales priorities.
- Manage and organise props, display materials and installation logistics; ensure inventory of VM assets is accurate and maintained.
- Translate visual directives into clear shop floor layouts and planograms, adapting concepts to the boutique’s architecture and stock.
- Collaborate closely with store management and sales teams to align merchandising with commercial objectives and client events.
- Carry out routine upkeep of displays, ensure visual standards are consistently met and report any technical or maintenance needs.
- Contribute creative proposals and mood studies for seasonal activations while respecting Chanel’s brand codes.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised work‑study (alternance) programme in visual merchandising, fashion design, scenography, retail management or a related discipline.
- Strong creative sensibility with a refined eye for proportion, scale and luxury presentation.
- Practical manual dexterity and comfort working with fixtures, textiles and mannequins.
- High standards of tidiness, attention to detail and respect for brand guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional boutique teams and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including occasional evenings for installs and events.
Skills
Experience
Previous internship or part‑time experience in retail or visual merchandising is advantageous; practical shop‑floor exposure preferred but not mandatory for a work‑study profile.
Education
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme (work‑study/alternance) in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Scenography, Retail Management or a closely related field.
