Visual Merchandising Assistant (Intern)
Chanel — Visual Merchandising Assistant Intern, Paris (Mode Cambon). Internship starting July 2023 to support window and in-store visual presentations.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of seasonal visual merchandising concepts in the Mode Cambon boutique, including window and in-store displays.
- Assist with the construction, dressing and maintenance of visual sets, props and fixtures to uphold brand standards.
- Prepare visual kits, signage and prop inventories; ensure materials are stored and returned according to procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the store management and head visual merchandiser to schedule installations, product placements and refreshes.
- Document displays through photography and basic reporting to track execution and provide feedback for future installations.
- Provide hands-on support during product launches, private events and promotional periods, ensuring flawless presentation.
- Ensure compliance with Chanel visual guidelines and maintain a high level of boutique presentation throughout service hours.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree or professional programme in visual merchandising, fashion design, retail management or related discipline.
- Demonstrable aesthetic sensibility with a strong interest in luxury fashion presentation.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to handle physical installation tasks (lifting, positioning props, minor assembly).
- Excellent organisational skills, punctuality and the capacity to work to tight deadlines.
- Professional discretion, impeccable presentation and a client‑oriented attitude.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level role; prior retail, visual merchandising or creative staging experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate practical familiarity with boutique operations or hands-on creative projects.
Education
Enrolment in a relevant post-secondary programme (Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, or equivalent).
