Chanel is hiring a Visual Merchandiser in Vancouver to design and execute luxury in-store and window displays for the boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute seasonal window displays, in-store floor sets and merchandising concepts that uphold Chanel’s brand standards and storytelling.
  • Translate global visual directives into locally relevant executions, adapting concepts to the Vancouver boutique’s architecture and customer profile.
  • Plan and manage visual projects end-to-end: concept interpretation, fixture and prop specifications, installation timelines and on-site implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with boutique management, retail operations and store teams to ensure visual coherence, product placement and commercial alignment.
  • Train and mentor store staff on daily merchandising standards, mannequin dressing, and upkeep of visual displays to preserve presentation consistency.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, carpenters and prop builders; oversee quality control during installation and deinstallation.
  • Monitor visual KPIs (sell-through by fixture, conversion impact of displays) and iterate concepts based on commercial performance and client feedback.
  • Maintain inventory of visual assets, props and fixtures; coordinate storage, transport and seasonal refresh cycles.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Interior Design, Fashion or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum three years’ visual merchandising experience in luxury retail or premium fashion brands, with demonstrable work in boutique environments.
  • Proven ability to execute high-end display projects from concept to installation while maintaining strict brand standards.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility, attention to detail and an understanding of proportion, lighting and materials.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to liaise with store teams, external suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Capacity for physical work associated with installations (lifting, climbing, extended periods on feet) and flexible availability for store installs.

Experience

At least 3 years of hands-on visual merchandising experience within luxury or high-end fashion retail, including responsibility for seasonal windows and boutique floor sets.

Education

Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Interior Design, Fashion or a related field; equivalent professional experience accepted.
