Chanel seeks a Trade Marketing Manager in Mexico City to lead retail activation, trade strategy and channel performance for the Mexico market.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement trade marketing strategies and retail activation plans across channels (flagship, department stores, specialty retail and e-commerce) for the Mexico market.
  • Lead execution of promotional calendars, point-of-sale (POS) materials, visual merchandising directives and in-store campaigns in collaboration with retail operations and merchandising teams.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Consumer Marketing, Digital and Supply Chain to ensure alignment of commercial initiatives, inventory flow and promotional timing.
  • Manage trade marketing budgets, track spend versus plan, and optimise ROI of promotions and activations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, produce regular performance analyses and translate insights into actionable improvements for channel performance.
  • Coordinate external agencies and retail partners, ensuring brand standards and quality of execution at retail touchpoints.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and deliver training for boutique teams and retail partners to maximise conversion and client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing or retail activation within luxury goods, beauty or premium consumer brands.
  • Proven experience managing multi-channel retail activations, working with distributors and department store partners in Mexico or LATAM.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience setting and measuring KPIs and reporting commercial performance.
  • Demonstrated budget management and agency brief/management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in trade or retail marketing within luxury fashion, beauty or premium consumer goods, with a track record of planning and executing channel activations and working with retail partners and distributors in Mexico or the LATAM region.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
