Chanel — Paris: Technical Office Coordinator (permanent). Coordinate product technical development, prototypes and cross‑functional teams for the luxury house.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities of the technical/design office across product development cycles from concept to production.
  • Maintain and update technical files: tech packs, bill of materials, measurement charts and grading rules.
  • Liaise with design, pattern makers, prototyping, sourcing and production to ensure timelines, quality and fit objectives are met.
  • Follow up on prototype development, fittings and corrective actions; document decisions and ensure implementation across suppliers.
  • Monitor lead times, costs and sample flows; escalate risks and propose mitigation plans to project owners.
  • Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings, maintain project trackers and produce status reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to materials and product construction.
  • Support supplier communication and onboarding for technical specifications and sampling requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fashion design, textile engineering, industrial engineering or related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, patternmaking and sizing principles.
  • Proven organizational ability with experience managing multiple product tracks and tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and supplier interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PLM systems and tech-pack conventions preferred.

Experience

Typically 3+ years of experience in a technical office, product development or equivalent role within apparel, accessories or luxury goods, with direct exposure to prototype management, fittings and supplier coordination.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
