Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Technical Cell for skincare within Parfums Beauté, directing day-to-day activities, priorities and resourcing for formulation transfer, industrialisation and technical problem-solving.
  • Coordinate cross-functional programs with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Marketing to ensure on-time, on-spec product launches.
  • Manage scale-up and industrialisation of skincare formulas with contract manufacturers and internal production sites, including pilot runs and validation batches.
  • Ensure technical compliance with applicable cosmetic GMP and regulatory requirements throughout development and production, and oversee product stability and microbiological programmes.
  • Drive supplier qualification and technical audits, define technical specification sheets and approve manufacturing documentation and change controls.
  • Troubleshoot production anomalies and lead root-cause analyses, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard product integrity.
  • Mentor and develop technical staff, allocate objectives, and report programme status and risks to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in a technical role within skincare or cosmetic product development, with responsibility for industrialisation and supplier management.
  • Deep knowledge of formulation science, stability testing, microbiological control and scale-up processes specific to skincare products.
  • Well-versed in cosmetic GMP and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22716) and able to translate regulatory requirements into operational practice.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with demonstrable experience driving cross-functional launches and managing timelines and budgets.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical matters to non-technical audiences.

Experience

Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in cosmetic or skincare technical development and industrialisation, including direct experience with contract manufacturers and multi-disciplinary launch teams; prior people management is preferred.

Education

Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
