Chanel in Florence (Osmannoro) seeks a Technical Development Coordinator — Leather RTW to oversee leather garment development and supplier coordination.

Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end technical development for leather ready-to-wear collections, from first prototype to transfer-to-production.
- Translate design intent into comprehensive technical packs, spec sheets and tolerances for leather garments.
- Lead and schedule fit sessions, record fit notes, and drive iterative adjustments with pattern makers and design teams.
- Interface with leather suppliers, component vendors and contracted factories to ensure material suitability and manufacturability.
- Perform dimensional checks, quality audits and construction reviews on samples and pre-production garments.
- Manage development timelines, sample flows and escalation of critical path issues to production and sourcing stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot construction, assembly and material behavior specific to leather; propose practical engineering solutions.
- Maintain precise documentation of BOMs, trims, measurement charts and change logs throughout the development cycle.
Qualifications
- Proven background in technical development for leather garments or leather-focused accessory-apparel integration.
- Strong understanding of leather types, behavior, and tanning/finish implications on patterning and construction.
- Demonstrable ability to produce and maintain detailed technical packs, measurement charts and tolerance tables.
- Excellent communication skills with experience liaising between design, pattern making, suppliers and factories.
- Organized, process-oriented approach with ability to manage concurrent development tracks and tight deadlines.

Experience
Typically requires several years (commonly 3–5+) of hands-on technical development experience within leather ready-to-wear or closely related leather apparel/product categories, including direct exposure to suppliers and production processes.
Education
Degree or diploma in Fashion Technology, Technical Design, Textile Engineering or equivalent vocational experience in garment development.
