Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee the sourcing and refinement of collection materials, ensuring alignment with Chanel's quality and compliance standards.
- Participate in material kick-off meetings and acquire samples from suppliers to meet design and quality requirements.
- Manage core material inventory and coordinate the material showroom.
- Supervise the progress of material development for collections and ensure timely delivery for Fabric to Sketch.
- Act as an escalation point for material delivery alerts and implement solutions.
- Research and engage new process suppliers and participate in trade shows to drive innovation and transformation projects.
- Coordinate material development, optimize production material pricing, and ensure industrialization for collection production.
- Contribute to model feasibility decisions and provide technical advice.
- Conduct risk analyses for materials and products and ensure quality department handovers.
- Facilitate technical handovers to manufacturers during prototyping and sampling phases.
- Develop category expertise through trade shows, competitive monitoring, and supplier visits.
- Monitor progress of material refinement at suppliers.
- Propose product and material cost optimizations.
- Lead product competency development within the supply chain and with manufacturers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in RTW Leather of at least 10 years.
- Excellent knowledge of materials and their treatments.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and to Paris.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collection data management tools.
- Fluency in English and French.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in ready-to-wear leather production and development.
