Chanel seeks a Tailor in London (Sloane Street) to perform bespoke alterations and client fittings for the house's luxury clientele.

Role & Responsibilities
- Perform precision alterations and bespoke finishing on couture and ready‑to‑wear garments to Chanel standards.
- Conduct client measurements and multiple fittings, advising on fit, drape and finish while maintaining discretion and high service levels.
- Execute hand‑stitching, pressing, padding, lining adjustments and structural repairs using couture techniques.
- Alter and adapt patterns for individual clients while preserving the integrity of original design and silhouette.
- Coordinate turnaround times with store management and ateliers to meet delivery deadlines and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed alteration records and garment tracking; ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Manage and maintain tailoring tools, equipment and a pristine in‑store work area in line with brand presentation.
- Undertake quality control inspections on completed garments and remediate any imperfections prior to client collection.
Qualifications
- Formal vocational qualification in tailoring or completed apprenticeship in couture tailoring.
- Proven mastery of couture hand‑stitching, hemming, pad stitching, and complex garment construction.
- Deep knowledge of luxury fabrics (wools, silks, cashmere, tweeds) and appropriate handling techniques.
- Excellent client‑facing manner, discretion and the ability to advise HNW clientele on fit and finish.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bespoke orders and strict deadlines.

Experience
Minimum 3 years' professional tailoring experience in a luxury retail environment, couture house or bespoke atelier with demonstrable success delivering high‑end alterations and fittings.
Education
Vocational qualification in tailoring or completed tailoring apprenticeship; formal couture training preferred.
