Sustainability Projects Coordinator (Alternance)
Chanel in Paris seeks an Alternance Sustainability Projects Coordinator (Chargé(e) de projets développement durable) for the Fashion division, start Sept 2026.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the design, coordination and execution of sustainability initiatives across the fashion division, working within a cross‑functional project framework.
- Collect, validate and analyse environmental and social performance data from internal teams and suppliers to feed reporting and KPI dashboards.
- Contribute to lifecycle assessments (LCA), carbon footprint calculations and other impact analyses to inform material and design decisions.
- Prepare clear executive summaries, slide decks and technical notes for internal stakeholders and steering committees.
- Coordinate suppliers and external partners for audits, questionnaires and improvement plans; follow up on corrective actions and timelines.
- Track project timelines, budgets and deliverables; maintain project documentation and support change management activities.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in sustainability, environmental science, textile/fashion management, engineering or a related discipline (work‑study/alternance track).
- Strong analytical ability with experience handling quantitative datasets and producing concise management reporting.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable operating in cross‑functional teams with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Interest in fashion supply chains, materials and product lifecycle impacts and a commitment to practical sustainability solutions.
- Fluent use of office tools and ability to produce professional presentations and technical summaries.
Skills
Experience
Previous internships or project experience in sustainability, CSR, environmental assessment or supply‑chain projects is highly desirable; candidates should demonstrate hands‑on contributions to data analysis, reporting or supplier engagement during prior placements or academic projects.
Education
Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate programme (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with eligibility for a French alternance/work‑study contract.
