Sustainability Analyst
Chanel in Paris seeks a Sustainability Analyst (Contract) to support ESG reporting, carbon accounting and supplier engagement.

Role & Responsibilities
- Collect, validate and consolidate environmental and social data across operations and supply chain for sustainability KPIs.
- Support greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, carbon footprint calculations and scope 1–3 data management in line with recognized protocols.
- Prepare and contribute to sustainability disclosures and external reporting (e.g., GRI, CDP, CSRD) and support assurance processes.
- Perform quantitative analyses including life-cycle assessment (LCA) inputs, trend analysis and scenario modelling to inform strategy.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (sourcing, operations, product development, legal) to drive data quality and implementation of sustainability initiatives.
- Support supplier engagement and onboarding for sustainability questionnaires, audits and improvement plans.
- Develop clear management reports, slide decks and dashboards to communicate insights to internal leadership and external audiences.
- Monitor regulatory and market developments in ESG, sustainability reporting and circularity standards; recommend policy or process updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, environmental management or a related discipline.
- Proven knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (GHG Protocol, GRI Standards, CDP, CSRD).
- Hands-on experience with data collection, consolidation and KPI governance across multi-site or multi-brand operations.
- Strong numerical and analytical capability with advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualisation or BI tools is an asset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills to translate technical analysis into business-relevant recommendations.

Typically 2–5 years of professional experience in sustainability, ESG reporting, environmental management or a related role, preferably within luxury goods, fashion, retail or manufacturing environments.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, environmental management or a closely related field.
