Chanel is hiring a Supplier Strategy & Metallic Accessories Purchasing Intern in Vittuone. Internship supporting procurement, supplier sourcing and cost analysis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement team in developing and executing supplier strategy for metallic accessories (trims, buckles, findings, hardware).
  • Conduct market and supplier research, identification and qualification to expand the strategic supplier base.
  • Assist in cost and margin analysis, price benchmarking and total cost of ownership assessments for metal components.
  • Prepare commercial documentation including RFQs, comparative bid analyses and purchase requisitions; support purchase order follow‑up.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs (quality, delivery, compliance) and assist in corrective‑action processes.
  • Collaborate with design, product development and quality teams to ensure specification compliance and timely prototyping/sampling.
  • Support negotiation preparation and supplier meetings; maintain accurate sourcing and supplier records.
  • Contribute to small projects to improve procurement processes and supplier continuity for seasonal deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Fashion Management.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in quantitative analysis and commercial reporting.
  • Clear interest in luxury accessories and materials, specifically metal hardware and finishes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience

Education

Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Fashion Management.
