Chanel is hiring a Stockroom Assistant (Apprenticeship) in Cannes. Apprenticeship role supporting boutique stock operations — start Sept 2024.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries; verify quantities and quality against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Organise and maintain stockroom layout to brand standards, ensuring accessibility and optimal stock rotation.
  • Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with store management.
  • Prepare transfers and shipments to other boutiques or headquarters, including accurate packing and documentation.
  • Support sales floor operations by replenishing merchandise, preparing samples and responding to ad-hoc product requests.
  • Maintain meticulous inventory records using store systems and assist with administrative tasks related to stock control.
  • Adhere to Chanel security, handling and preservation protocols for luxury goods and assist with boutique housekeeping as required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolment in an apprenticeship, vocational or technical programme related to retail, logistics, supply chain or fashion.
  • Demonstrable organisational aptitude with a methodical approach to stock control and record keeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of discretion when handling luxury merchandise.
  • Capacity for physical tasks (lifting, standing, moving goods) and working within boutique operational hours.
  • Reliable team player with good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn brand-specific procedures.
  • Basic digital literacy for inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.

Experience

No specific prior professional experience required; previous exposure to retail, warehouse or stock-handling environments is advantageous but not mandatory for apprenticeship candidates.

Currently enrolled in an apprenticeship, vocational diploma or equivalent programme in retail, logistics, supply chain, fashion or a related discipline (CAP/BEP/BTS or equivalent).
