Stock Assistant

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record incoming deliveries; verify quantities and condition against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Organise and maintain the stockroom to luxury retail standards, ensuring rapid access to merchandise and optimal presentation for replenishment.
• Perform regular stock counts and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies and report variances to store management.
• Process stock transfers, returns and adjustments in the store inventory system and maintain accurate documentation.
• Prepare merchandise for floor replenishment in line with merchandising plans and sales priorities.
• Operate RF handheld scanners and point-of-sale (POS) equipment to record movements and support transactions when required.
• Support loss-prevention procedures by enforcing storage protocols, secure handling and accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with sales, visual merchandising and store management teams during peak periods, events and store moves.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and numerical accuracy.
• Physical ability to perform stock handling duties, including lifting and prolonged standing.
• Clear, professional communication and the capacity to work cooperatively within a high-performance retail team.
• Proven reliability and discretion when handling high-value merchandise.
• Legal right to work in Singapore.

Skills

Experience

Typically 1+ year of experience in retail stockroom, warehouse or back-of-house operations preferred; luxury retail experience is advantageous.

Education

Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
