Stock Assistant
Chanel in Paris seeks a Stock Assistant to manage stockroom operations, inventory control and replenishment for a flagship boutique.

Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and process inbound deliveries; verify quantities against delivery notes and invoice documentation.
- Manage stockroom organisation and replenishment of the sales floor to uphold merchandising and presentation standards.
- Perform regular cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits; investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
- Label, tag and prepare merchandise for sale, ensuring products meet quality and presentation requirements.
- Operate handheld scanners and inventory systems to update stock movements, transfers and returns in real time.
- Coordinate inter-store transfers and liaise with the logistics team to ensure timely fulfilment of requests.
- Maintain loss-prevention procedures and ensure secure handling and storage of high-value items.
- Support the boutique team during peak periods with merchandise preparation and stock placement.
Qualifications
- Proven reliability, punctuality and a professional demeanour appropriate to a luxury retail environment.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy for stock reconciliation and inventory tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise and stand for extended periods; comfortable with manual handling.
- Discretion when handling high-value inventory and client-related merchandise.
- Right to work in the job location and willingness to work retail hours including weekends and occasional evenings.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level role; typically 1+ year experience in retail stock control, warehouse or logistics preferred. Experience within luxury or fashion retail is an advantage.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, logistics or supply chain is desirable but not mandatory.
