Chanel is hiring a Stock Assistant in Istanbul, Turkey — entry-level retail role managing inventory, stockroom operations and logistics for the boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and process inbound shipments; verify quantities, SKU accuracy and condition against delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular inventory reconciliations to ensure stock integrity and shrinkage control.
  • Organise and maintain a pristine, climate-appropriate stockroom in line with Chanel visual and storage standards.
  • Pick and prepare merchandise for the sales floor and client orders; replenish displays promptly to support boutique KPIs.
  • Coordinate with boutique management and logistics partners to schedule deliveries, returns and stock transfers.
  • Support periodic stocktakes and cycle counts, prepare variance reports and investigate discrepancies.
  • Adhere to security, loss-prevention and handling procedures for high-value items; follow health & safety and manual-handling protocols.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support for shipping paperwork, invoicing and inventory system updates.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in logistics or retail operations is an asset.
  • Previous experience in retail stockroom operations or logistics (1+ year preferred), ideally within a premium or luxury environment.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail and proven record of maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work on one’s feet for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual and capable of working within a team while following exacting operational procedures.

Experience

Minimum of one year of hands-on experience in retail stockroom, warehouse or logistics operations; experience supporting boutique operations or handling high-value merchandise is strongly preferred.

Education

High-school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in logistics/retail operations advantageous.
