Stock Assistant (Alternance)

Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and process incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Chanel’s quality standards and traceability protocols.
- Perform put-away, storage organisation and stock rotation to maintain an orderly and secure stockroom.
- Carry out regular inventory cycle counts and assist with full stocktakes, reconciling discrepancies and updating the stock management system.
- Prepare, pick and pack items for boutiques and e‑commerce, including returns and inter-store transfers, following packing and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain garment and merchandise care standards (inspection, steaming, minor repairs) and ensure returned items are processed correctly.
- Operate handheld scanners / PDAs and basic stock software to update records; escalate stock issues to the Store Manager or Stock Manager.
- Adhere to health & safety and loss-prevention procedures and contribute to continual improvement of stockroom processes.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited vocational or higher-education programme relevant to logistics, supply chain, retail or merchandising (BTS, DUT, Licence or equivalent).
- Basic numeracy and strong attention to detail; accuracy in counting and record-keeping is essential.
- Physical ability to handle merchandise, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to standard retail weight thresholds.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to scheduled apprenticeship hours and learning objectives.
- Fluent French; practical working English is advantageous.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in retail stock handling, warehouse operations or a logistics internship is preferred but not mandatory; demonstrable interest in luxury retail operations and strong organisational aptitude are valued.
Education
Enrolled in a vocational or higher-education programme in logistics, supply chain, retail, merchandising or a related field (BTS, DUT, Licence or equivalent).
