Chanel Parfums Beauté in Pantin seeks a Skin Biology Engineer (Work‑Study/Alternance) to support R&D skin biology assays and lab activities.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support R&D teams in the design, execution and documentation of in vitro and ex vivo skin biology experiments.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and perform routine cell culture, tissue handling and skin explant assays.
  • Conduct biochemical and molecular analyses (e.g., ELISA, qPCR, microscopy) and produce clear experimental reports.
  • Contribute to data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, quality procedures and cosmetic regulatory requirements; maintain accurate lab notebooks and sample traceability.
  • Participate in cross‑functional meetings with formulation, toxicology and regulatory teams to align biological testing with product development timelines.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree or engineering programme in cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering or equivalent (alternance/work‑study agreement required).
  • Solid academic foundation in cellular and molecular biology.
  • Hands‑on proficiency in cell culture and maintenance of aseptic conditions.
  • Experience with common laboratory techniques such as ELISA, qPCR, histology/microscopy and protein assays.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to document experiments precisely.
