Role & Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations in the footwear atelier, handling leather and fabric components through cutting, preparation and basic assembly tasks.
  • Perform material inspection and quality checks to ensure components meet Chanel's standards for finish, tolerance and consistency.
  • Assist pattern cutters and skilled operators with trimming, skiving, glueing and hand-stitching as required for shoe production.
  • Maintain orderly workstations, manage inventory of leather and textile supplies and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
  • Record production data, report defects and work closely with the technical team to resolve material or process issues.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma or equivalent in footwear, leather goods, fashion technology or a related craft discipline.
  • Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor skills; comfortable with hand-stitching and precision finishing.
  • Familiarity with leather types, textile behaviour and common footwear construction methods.
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical work habits and ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
  • Good team orientation, reliability and ability to work to tight quality deadlines in an atelier environment.

Experience

Approximately 1–3 years of hands-on experience in footwear production, a leather-goods atelier or a comparable manufacturing environment, with exposure to component prep and quality inspection.

Vocational qualification in footwear/leather goods, fashion technology, or equivalent practical training.
