Senior Procurement Planner
Chanel in Florence (Firenze Osmannoro) seeks a Senior Procurement Planner to lead procurement planning, supplier coordination and inventory optimisation.

Role & Responsibilities
- Translate demand forecasts and commercial plans into procurement schedules and purchase orders to meet delivery and inventory targets.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, logistics and production teams to align supply plans with seasonal launches and assortments.
- Manage supplier cadence: confirm lead times, secure capacity, monitor on‑time delivery and escalate supply risks.
- Optimize inventory levels through safety stock analysis, SKU rationalisation and replenishment strategies to minimise obsolescence while safeguarding service levels.
- Run S&OP cycles and provide timely procurement inputs; prepare and present supply‑chain KPIs and scenario analyses to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with customs, inbound logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and resolution of supply chain exceptions.
- Drive continuous improvement projects related to procurement processes, cost visibility and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven track record in procurement or supply planning within fashion, luxury goods, apparel or fast‑moving consumer goods.
- Strong analytical aptitude with experience using data to drive stock optimisation and procurement decisions.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional discussions and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed organisation.
- High attention to detail, organisational discipline and aptitude for working to seasonal deadlines.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply planning or demand planning, ideally within fashion, luxury or consumer goods; demonstrable experience managing supplier relationships and multi‑category assortments across seasonal product cycles.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent; professional certifications in supply chain or procurement advantageous.
