Senior Merchandising Manager
Chanel in Singapore seeks a Senior Merchandising Manager to lead assortment, forecasting and commercial strategy for the region.

Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the merchandising strategy and assortment architecture for the Singapore market and relevant regional channels to maximise sell‑through and margin.
- Own seasonal product range planning, SKU rationalisation and lifecycle management in alignment with global buying and design teams.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and stock plans; translate commercial targets into buy plans, replenishment rules and allocation strategies.
- Monitor sales performance and inventory KPIs; implement corrective actions to optimise sell‑through, markdowns and inventory turns.
- Collaborate closely with Buying, Planning, Retail, E‑commerce, Marketing and Operations to ensure cohesive go‑to‑market execution and promotional alignment.
- Set pricing recommendations and promotional strategies in consultation with regional/commercial leadership to protect brand equity and margin.
- Lead and mentor a small merchandising team; establish clear objectives, processes and reporting cadence.
- Present commercial plans and performance analysis to senior leadership and contribute to cross‑functional strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of merchandising leadership within luxury or premium fashion retail.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience driving margin, sell‑through and inventory efficiency.
- Excellent analytical capabilities; comfortable with quantitative forecasting, KPI tracking and financial reporting.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence at senior levels and collaborate cross‑functionally.
- People management experience, including coaching, performance management and building high‑performing teams.

Experience
Minimum seven years of progressive merchandising experience in fashion or luxury retail, including at least three years in a managerial or lead merchandising role with responsibility for regional or multi‑channel assortment and commercial results.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or executive education preferred.
