Role & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to the Perfumes & Beauty Image and Communications team on image rights, publicity, advertising, marketing claims and campaign clearances.
- Draft, negotiate and review commercial agreements related to campaigns, influencer and celebrity partnerships, model and talent agreements, sponsorships, licensing and endorsements.
- Manage trademark, design and copyright matters for the Perfumes & Beauty portfolio, coordinating prosecution, oppositions and renewals with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Assess and mitigate legal risk for digital and social media activities, influencer marketing, e‑commerce content and cross-border promotions, including compliance with advertising law and consumer protection rules.
- Oversee disputes and litigation related to IP, unfair competition and image infringements; instruct and coordinate external law firms and manage budgets for contentious matters.
- Provide proactive legal training, templates and clearance workflows to marketing, creative and product teams to streamline approvals and protect brand equity.
- Work cross-functionally with regulatory, compliance, product and commercial teams to ensure integrated legal support for launches and promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in law or equivalent (e.g. Master II) with specialization or significant coursework in intellectual property, media/advertising or commercial law.
- Admission to the French Bar (or equivalent qualification in a relevant jurisdiction) is preferred.
- Proven senior-level legal experience (typically 6+ years) in IP, advertising/marketing law and commercial contracts, gained in-house at a consumer goods/luxury brand or in a reputable law firm.
- Strong knowledge of French and EU advertising, IP and consumer protection law; practical experience with influencer and digital marketing matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills; ability to translate legal risk into pragmatic commercial advice.

Experience
Senior-level legal professional with approximately 6+ years’ experience in intellectual property, advertising/marketing law and commercial contracting, ideally with prior exposure to the beauty, fragrance or luxury sectors and both in‑house and law firm environments.
Education
Master's degree in Law (or equivalent); specialization in IP/Media/Commercial law preferred. Admission to the French Bar or equivalent is preferred.
