Chanel is hiring a Senior Integrated Media & Digital Communications Strategy Manager in Shanghai to lead media strategy and digital campaigns.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute integrated media and digital communications strategies that amplify brand storytelling across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Develop annual media plans and campaign roadmaps aligned with product launches, seasonal calendars and commercial objectives.
  • Lead media buying and programmatic activation in partnership with agencies and trading desks; optimise spend to meet ROI and brand KPIs.
  • Oversee digital content strategy and delivery, ensuring consistency of tone, creative standards and channel-specific best practices.
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement with PR, CRM, e‑commerce, retail and creative teams to ensure cohesive activation.
  • Establish measurement frameworks, set KPIs, and provide regular performance reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Select, brief and govern external agencies and vendors; negotiate scopes, budgets and SLAs.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members; promote best practices and continual skills development within the media function.
  • Safeguard brand integrity in all media and communications activities and support issue-response/corporate crisis communications when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in integrated media, digital communications or media planning at a luxury, premium or FMCG brand.
  • Demonstrable experience managing agency relationships, media procurement and multi-market activations.
  • Strong analytical competency with experience defining measurement frameworks and translating data into strategic decisions.
  • Track record of delivering ROI-driven campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels.

Experience

Approximately 7–10 years of progressive experience in media, digital communications or integrated marketing, with a significant portion spent on brand-led campaigns and agency management. Experience within luxury or premium brands and multi-market activations is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field; Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
