Chanel is hiring a Senior Group Director, East Coast & Central in Boston, MA to lead regional retail operations and teams across the East & Central US.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute Chanel’s commercial and operational strategy for the East Coast & Central United States, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
  • Own regional P&L performance, set targets, monitor KPIs and translate financial goals into actionable retail plans.
  • Manage and develop a multi-site leadership team (boutique managers and regional staff), driving talent acquisition, succession planning and performance management.
  • Elevate client experience and clienteling practices across all points of sale; oversee CRM activation, VIP engagement and event strategy.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation through rigorous visual merchandising, standards compliance and store-level execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, logistics and wholesale teams to optimize inventory flow, assortments and promotional activity.
  • Implement robust forecasting, reporting and analytics to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Represent the brand at key retailer and partner meetings; cultivate strategic relationships with wholesale and retail partners where applicable.
  • Travel frequently to stores across the region to provide on-site leadership, conduct business reviews and lead store-level initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior leadership experience within luxury fashion or premium lifestyle retail, with responsibility for a multi-unit region.
  • Demonstrable track record of P&L ownership and delivering top-line and margin improvements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigour and ability to translate data into strategy.
  • Exceptional people leadership and talent development skills, with experience coaching managers and building high-performance teams.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work non-standard hours as required by regional retail rhythms.

Experience

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in luxury or premium retail, with several years in a regional or group leadership role and direct P&L accountability for multiple stores or channels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
