Chanel in Vienna seeks a Sales Manager to lead boutique sales, clienteling and team performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the boutique sales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets, driving conversion and average transaction value.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-value clients through proactive clienteling, personalised service and bespoke sales initiatives.
  • Coach, train and mentor sales advisors on product knowledge, selling techniques and brand protocols; conduct performance reviews and set individual objectives.
  • Oversee boutique operations including visual merchandising, inventory control, stock replenishment and loss-prevention measures, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Analyse sales KPIs and customer insights to build action plans, prepare regular reports for regional management and adapt local commercial strategies.
  • Coordinate and execute client events, private appointments and in-store activations in collaboration with marketing and regional teams.
  • Recruit, rostering and manage workforce scheduling to ensure consistent coverage and exceptional client experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role within luxury retail or fashion, with demonstrable success meeting sales targets.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team in a boutique environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach and discretion when handling high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience using sales KPIs to drive performance and decision-making.
  • Fluent German and professional working proficiency in English.

Experience

At least 3 years of management experience in high-end retail, ideally within a luxury fashion or accessories boutique, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing client relationships.

Secondary education completed; tertiary qualification in business, retail management or hospitality preferred but not mandatory.
