Chanel Paris seeks a Sales Assistant (Alternance) for its fashion boutique — work‑study position in Paris starting Sept 2024.

Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, personalised client service and cultivate long‑term client relationships through proactive clienteling and appointment management.
  • Support sales transactions, process payments and maintain accurate records using in‑store POS procedures.
  • Present and merchandise product assortments to Chanel visual standards; ensure boutique displays and window dressing remain impeccable.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing stock, support inventory counts and assist with stockroom organisation and replenishment.
  • Assist the Boutique Manager and senior advisors in daily boutique operations, including opening/closing procedures and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in brand initiatives and in‑store events, contributing to a seamless luxury customer experience.
  • Report on sales activity and client feedback; follow up on client requests and coordinate with corporate teams when required.
  • Adhere strictly to Chanel standards for product handling, confidentiality and loss prevention.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a recognised work‑study (alternance) programme in retail, business, luxury management or a related discipline; available to start September 2024.
  • Strong interpersonal presence with a genuine interest in luxury fashion and client service.
  • Excellent communication skills and a polished professional demeanour; ability to converse confidently with high‑net‑worth clients.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work retail hours including weekends; commitment to boutique standards and teamwork.
  • Legal authorization to work and study in France for the duration of the alternance contract.

Experience

Entry‑level; previous retail or luxury sales experience is advantageous but not required. The role is designed for candidates in a work‑study programme seeking practical in‑boutique training.

Enrolment in a vocational diploma, BTS, Bachelor or equivalent programme in retail, commerce, luxury management or related field (work‑study/alternance track).
