Chanel seeks a Sales Assistant (1-year contract) in Panama City — boutique sales role focused on clienteling, visual merchandising and achieving targets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exemplary, personalised service to boutique clientele, building long-term relationships and maintaining an accurate client book.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive clienteling, up‑selling and cross‑selling of product categories.
  • Maintain immaculate presentation of the sales floor and product displays in accordance with brand visual merchandising standards.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, process transactions, returns and exchanges, and ensure accurate cash handling and record keeping.
  • Support stock management activities including receiving, replenishment, inventory counts and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Coordinate client appointments, private viewings and boutique events; liaise with the store team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Adhere to brand policies, local regulations and internal procedures relating to compliance, confidentiality and product authenticity.

Qualifications

  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in luxury fashion, cosmetics or high-end jewellery (1+ year preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering personalised client service.
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail with an appreciation for luxury visual merchandising standards.
  • Professional demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with high‑value clients.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays; reliable punctuality and commitment to scheduled shifts.

Experience

Minimum of one year of customer-facing retail experience; prior experience in luxury or premium-brand environments is strongly preferred, with demonstrable sales results and client development skills.
