Chanel in Paris seeks a Sales Assistant Intern for its fashion boutique — client-facing retail internship in Paris.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet and warmly receive clients, deliver attentive one-to-one service and support the boutique’s clienteling activities.
  • Support sales transactions using the point-of-sale system, handle payments and process returns according to company procedures.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards: arrange product displays, refresh windows and ensure the boutique presentation reflects brand guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment, including stockroom organisation, stock counts and incoming deliveries.
  • Provide administrative support: prepare sales documentation, update client files, follow up on client requests and assist with appointment scheduling.
  • Support boutique events, private viewings and seasonal launches; undertake gift-wrapping and presentation duties to luxury standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme in business, retail, fashion, marketing or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a polished, professional appearance and strong client-service orientation.
  • High level of reliability, discretion and attention to detail; able to respect confidentiality and brand protocols.
  • Availability to work a retail schedule including evenings and weekends for the duration of the internship.
  • Authorization to work in France and commitment to complete the full internship period.

Experience

No prior professional experience is required; previous retail or luxury customer service experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Education

Enrolled in a tertiary education programme (Bachelor's or Master's level) in business, fashion, marketing, or a related discipline.
