Quality Technician — Fragrance & Beauty
Chanel in Compiegne seeks a Quality Technician — Fragrance & Beauty (CDI). Oversee QC testing, batch release and regulatory compliance for beauty and fragrance products.

Role & Responsibilities
- Execute incoming, in-process and finished-product quality control tests for fragrance and cosmetic formulations according to defined methods and specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with GMP, internal SOPs and applicable cosmetic regulations; identify and escalate deviations.
- Perform routine analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC/GC, spectrophotometry) and basic microbiological assays, and record/interpret results.
- Manage batch release documentation and support traceability through accurate record-keeping and quality certificates.
- Investigate non-conformities and production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and coordinate corrective/preventive actions with production and R&D.
- Prepare technical reports, deviation reports and quality dossiers for internal stakeholders and regulatory inspections.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise QC workflows, reduce rejects and improve product stability.
- Collaborate with laboratory, production, supply-chain and regulatory teams during new-product transfers and scale-up activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of cosmetic regulations (EU Cosmetic Regulation) and GMP for cosmetics.
- Practical experience with analytical and microbiological test methods used in cosmetics or fragrance QC.
- Strong competency in technical writing for SOPs, batch records and non-conformance reports.
- Capacity to work within cross-functional teams and to prioritise competing operational tasks.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 2+ years in quality control or quality assurance within cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environments; experience with laboratory testing and production support.
Education
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Technology, or related field.
