Psychophysiology & Neuroscience Researcher
Chanel (Pantin) seeks a Psychophysiology & Neuroscience Researcher (permanent) to design and run human psychophysiology studies supporting product and consumer research.

Role & Responsibilities
- Design, plan and execute human psychophysiology and neuroscience studies to inform product, sensory and consumer research.
- Operate and maintain physiological acquisition systems (EEG, ECG, GSR, eye‑tracking and related sensors) and ensure data quality at acquisition.
- Develop and implement signal‑processing pipelines and statistical analyses to extract physiological and behavioural markers.
- Write study protocols, obtain ethical and regulatory approvals, and ensure compliance with GDPR and human‑subjects requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, sensory, marketing, product development) to translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Manage external vendors and coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling and lab logistics.
- Document methods and results clearly; present insights to both scientific and non‑technical stakeholders and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in neuroscience, cognitive science, psychophysiology, biomedical engineering or equivalent; PhD strongly preferred.
- Practical expertise with physiological recording techniques (EEG, ECG, GSR, eye‑tracking) and experience maintaining lab hardware.
- Proven ability in signal processing and statistical analysis of biosignals.
- Experience writing study protocols and working within ethical/regulatory frameworks for human research.
- Strong scientific communication skills with ability to translate technical results into business insights.
Skills
Experience
Minimum three years of applied research experience in human neuroscience or psychophysiology, ideally with a track record of studies conducted in an industrial, clinical or consumer research environment.
Education
Master's degree required; PhD in neuroscience, cognitive science, psychophysiology or a closely related discipline preferred.
