Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure product regulatory compliance across relevant categories (beauty, fragrance, fashion and accessories) for markets where Chanel operates.
- Monitor national, European and international regulatory developments and assess their impact on product portfolios, labelling and marketing claims.
- Provide legal/regulatory advice to R&D, product development, quality, supply chain and marketing teams throughout product lifecycle stages.
- Draft, review and approve regulatory documentation, product information files, labels, claims and contractual clauses related to product compliance.
- Coordinate regulatory submissions and enquiries with competent authorities and external consultants; manage administrative correspondence and dossier updates.
- Advise on product safety, testing strategy and remediation plans in case of non-compliance or regulatory incidents; implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to internal compliance programmes, policies and training to embed regulatory requirements within cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law (Master 2) or equivalent; specialisation in regulatory law, product safety, cosmetics law or compliance preferred.
- Strong knowledge of EU and international product regulations relevant to Chanel’s portfolio (e.g. EU Cosmetics Regulation, REACH and labelling rules).
- Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities; capacity to translate regulatory complexity into practical business guidance.
- Fluency in French with professional English legal proficiency recommended (language requirements not specified in source).

Experience
