Chanel seeks a Product Manager — Fragrance (6-month contract) in Taipei City. Short-term role managing fragrance product launches and cross‑functional coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end product lifecycle for fragrance SKUs, from concept and development through launch and post-launch performance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activity with marketing, creative, R&D/perfumery, regulatory, packaging, supply chain and retail teams to deliver launches on time and on budget.
  • Develop product briefs and translate creative and olfactive direction into commercial specifications and packaging requirements.
  • Conduct market, competitor and consumer trend analysis to inform assortment, positioning and pricing decisions.
  • Manage launch timelines, budgets and vendor relationships; ensure compliance with local regulatory and labelling requirements.
  • Monitor sales performance and inventory, generate regular reporting and propose commercial actions to optimise sell-through and margin.
  • Prepare internal presentations and product training materials for retail and wholesale partners.
  • Act as a key point of contact for distributors, retail teams and external suppliers during the contract term.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, cosmetic science, chemistry or related discipline.
  • 2+ years’ experience in product management, brand marketing or category management within beauty, fragrance or FMCG for Assistant level; 4+ years for Product Manager roles.
  • Proven experience coordinating NPD or launch projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigour and experience with forecasting and basic P&L considerations.
  • Familiarity with cosmetic/fragrance regulatory requirements and packaging constraints.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Experience

Candidate should bring 2+ years of relevant experience for an Assistant Product Manager level or 4+ years for a Product Manager role, ideally gained within fragrance, prestige beauty or consumer-packaged goods. Demonstrable experience delivering product launches and coordinating cross-functional teams is required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, cosmetic science, chemistry or a closely related discipline.
