Product Development Intern — Accessories (Textiles, Leather & Sports)

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the accessories product development team across textiles, leather goods and sports-inspired accessories from concept through first production samples.
- Maintain and update technical files (specifications, bill of materials, construction notes) and sample-tracking documentation for the collection.
- Coordinate sample requests, prototype deliveries and fittings with suppliers, internal ateliers and cross-functional partners (design, purchasing, quality).
- Assist in materials sourcing and supplier research, including trend and material innovation scouting relevant to textiles and leathers.
- Participate in quality checks and reporting, documenting non-conformities and following corrective actions with suppliers.
- Prepare presentations and workbooks for internal reviews and collection meetings; support data entry and project timelines to ensure milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in fashion, textile engineering, product development, industrial design or a related discipline.
- Strong interest and basic knowledge of accessories construction, textile behaviour and leather goods manufacturing.
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple sample flows and technical documents simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams in a professional manner.
- Availability for a full-time internship starting July 2026 and a commitment to hands-on, workshop and supplier-based activities.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level role; previous internship experience in accessory or apparel product development is advantageous but not mandatory. Demonstrable project work or academic projects in textiles or leather goods is a plus.
Education
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Fashion, Textiles, Product Development, Industrial Design, Materials Science or a closely related field.
