Chanel — Paris: Procurement Assistant Intern, Jewellery & Watches (internship starting Sept 2026). Support sourcing, PO administration and supplier coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Jewellery & Watches procurement team with daily purchase-order administration and supplier follow-up.
  • Monitor inventory levels and delivery schedules; flag shortages and propose corrective actions to prevent production or retail disruption.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and records in the ERP system; ensure data accuracy for orders, receipts and invoices.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional communication with design, product development, quality control and logistics to align supply timelines.
  • Assist in supplier sourcing activities, price comparisons and market intelligence specific to precious metals, gemstones and watch components.
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards on order status, lead times and supplier performance for the procurement manager.
  • Support ad hoc projects such as catalog updates, process optimisation and compliance checks related to sourcing standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Luxury Management or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated interest in fine jewellery, watchmaking or luxury goods; internships or coursework in related areas advantageous.
  • Strong organisational aptitude with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Professional written and spoken French and good command of English to liaise with international teams and suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to produce clear reports and interpret procurement metrics.
  • Discretion, professionalism and respect for confidentiality consistent with working on high-value products.

Skills

Microsoft Excel (advanced: pivot tables, vlookups, data analysis) Microsoft PowerPoint (presentation preparation) ERP experience (SAP or similar) — desirable Purchase order administration and supplier follow-up Inventory monitoring and basic demand planning Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder coordination

Experience

Previous internships or practical exposure in procurement, supply chain, purchasing or logistics are preferred; experience within luxury goods, jewellery or watchmaking is a strong advantage but not mandatory.

Education

Enrolment in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Luxury Management, or equivalent; final‑year students and recent graduates eligible.
