Chanel — Paris: Internship for a Point of Sale Architect Assistant (Parfums & Beauté Europe). Join the retail design team to support POS concepts and rollouts.

Overview

Chanel is an independent global maison renowned for haute couture, ready‑to‑wear, leather goods, watches, and beauty. The Perfumes & Beauty division operates within a demanding luxury ecosystem where artisanal savoir‑faire, meticulous brand stewardship and international retail operations converge.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the development and documentation of point‑of‑sale concepts and fixtures for Chanel Parfums & Beauté across European markets.
  • Produce technical drawings, CAD files and production‑ready artwork; adapt global concepts to local retail formats while ensuring brand compliance.
  • Prepare visual presentations, mood boards and sample mock‑ups for internal stakeholders and external manufacturers.
  • Coordinate with regional retail, visual merchandising, supply‑chain and external suppliers to monitor prototyping, manufacturing and installation schedules.
  • Track project timelines and basic budget items, report progress and escalate risks to the POS Architect or Project Lead.
  • Attend fittings, in‑store rollouts and quality checks in Paris or selected European locations as required.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a recognised programme in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising or related discipline (required for a stage).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating retail, fixture or environmental design work.
  • Excellent visual sensibility, high standards of precision and familiarity with luxury brand requirements.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple concurrent tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Availability to travel within Europe for site visits or rollouts (as required).

Experience

Academic and/or internship experience in retail design, visual merchandising or POS production is preferred; hands‑on exposure to fixture development and supplier coordination will be considered an asset.

Education

Enrolled in or recently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial/Product Design, Visual Merchandising or a closely related field.
