Chanel seeks a People Experience Partner in Hong Kong — an HR business partner to drive employee experience, talent and performance programmes for the local business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR business partner to assigned Hong Kong-based business units, advising leaders on people strategy, organisational design and workforce planning.
  • Drive employee experience initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, engagement, recognition and internal mobility programmes.
  • Partner with talent management to implement performance management, succession planning and development interventions tailored to retail and corporate populations.
  • Provide operational HR support: case management for employee relations, disciplinary processes, absence and return-to-work, and local statutory compliance.
  • Translate global HR programmes into locally relevant actions and ensure consistent delivery across sites in the market.
  • Use people data and HR analytics to identify trends, propose solutions and measure the impact of interventions.
  • Coach and build capability in line managers to improve leadership effectiveness, team performance and employee retention.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects (change initiatives, cultural programmes, EVP activation) and liaise with regional HR partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline; postgraduate qualification in HR or organisational development preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with proven HR business partnering exposure — ideally within luxury retail, fashion, beauty or other client‑facing multinational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management and talent programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong employment legislation and practical HR compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English is required, Cantonese or Mandarin advantageous.

Experience

At least 5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated success as an HR business partner in a multinational or luxury retail/consumer environment, including hands-on employee relations and talent programmes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate HR qualification or CIPD equivalent preferred.
