Chanel seeks a People & Organisation Partner in Kuala Lumpur — strategic HR business partner to drive talent, organisation and culture.
Overview

Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic HR business partner for assigned functions/regions, aligning people strategy with commercial priorities and brand objectives.
- Design and execute talent management initiatives including succession planning, high-potential identification and leadership development.
- Partner with line leaders to drive workforce planning, organisational design and role profiling to optimise structure and capability.
- Coach and counsel managers on performance management, career conversations, employee engagement and development plans.
- Provide guidance on employee relations and ensure consistent, compliant HR case management in line with local regulations and global policies.
- Support change programmes and cultural initiatives, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Collaborate with Rewards, Mobility and HR Operations to implement compensation, benefits and mobility solutions that reflect market and brand positioning.
- Use people analytics and HR metrics to inform decisions, demonstrate impact and identify workforce risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline; advanced degree or executive education preferred.
- Professional HR qualification preferred (for example CIPD, SHRM or equivalent).
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Thorough knowledge of Malaysian employment law and HR best practice; regional exposure advantageous.
- Proven track record of delivering HR initiatives in fast-paced, high-service environments, ideally within luxury retail or premium consumer brands.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least several years in an HR business partner or people advisory role; experience supporting retail, customer-facing or matrixed organisations is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Advanced degree or recognised HR professional certification preferred.
