Chanel Paris seeks a Payroll Administrator (Alternance) for Sept 2026 — work‑study opportunity in corporate payroll based in Paris.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support end‑to‑end payroll production for assigned employee populations, including data collection, validation and input into the payroll system.
  • Prepare statutory declarations and social charges filings; assist with month‑end and year‑end payroll close activities.
  • Maintain employee records related to pay (leave, absences, attachments, variable compensation) and ensure data integrity in the HRIS.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance and external service providers to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.
  • Contribute to payroll reporting, audits and reconciliations; prepare documentation to support internal and external controls.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of payroll data and compliance with French labour and social security regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes and optimise system usage.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a recognised work‑study programme (alternance) in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting or equivalent (BTS/DUT/License/Master level).
  • Good knowledge of French labour law and social security rules applicable to payroll.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and organisational discipline.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and professional integrity when handling confidential information.

Experience

Work‑study level role; prior internships or one year of exposure to payroll or HR administration is advantageous but not required. Demonstrated interest in payroll operations and familiarity with payroll cycles will be valued.

Education

Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Payroll, Human Resources, Accounting or related discipline (BTS, DUT, Licence Professionnelle, Bachelor or Master) via an alternance/work‑study contract.
