Packaging Homologation Technician
Chanel in Pantin seeks a Packaging Homologation Technician (CDD) to manage packaging approvals, testing and supplier compliance.

Role & Responsibilities
- Drive the packaging homologation process from prototype to production release, ensuring deliveries meet brand specifications and timelines.
- Define and validate technical packaging specifications, materials and components in collaboration with design, product development and quality teams.
- Coordinate and supervise functional and regulatory testing (mechanical, compatibility, barrier properties) and manage test result documentation and corrective actions.
- Liaise with suppliers and external laboratories to secure samples, production trials and certificates of conformity; follow up on non-conformities and CAPA actions.
- Maintain traceability of samples, approvals and technical dossiers within the product lifecycle (PLM) or shared documentation systems.
- Review and approve packaging artwork and structural changes from a technical and regulatory perspective.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and transport requirements relevant to packaging and finished goods.
- Support cross-functional projects to improve packaging sustainability, cost-efficiency and manufacturability.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or degree in packaging, materials science, industrial engineering or equivalent.
- Professional experience in packaging validation/homologation, ideally within cosmetics, luxury goods or consumer products (typical expectation: 2–5 years).
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials (paper, board, plastics, glass, metal) and common manufacturing and finishing processes.
- Experience managing supplier relations and working with external test laboratories.
- Understanding of regulatory constraints affecting packaging and finished goods.
- Rigorous documentation habits and familiarity with quality or product lifecycle processes.
Skills
Experience
Practical experience in packaging approval, supplier interaction and laboratory testing within cosmetics, luxury goods or FMCG. Typically 2–5 years of relevant professional experience.
Education
Diploma or degree in packaging technology, materials science, industrial engineering or related technical discipline.
