Packaging Buyer – Makeup (Alternance / Apprenticeship)
Chanel in Neuilly-sur-Seine seeks an Alternance Packaging Buyer (Makeup) for Parfums Beauté, starting Sept 2026 — apprenticeship in procurement and packaging.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Packaging Buyer for makeup in sourcing and managing packaging suppliers across concept, sampling and industrialization phases.
- Draft and maintain packaging specifications, technical datasheets and artwork requirements in collaboration with Design and R&D.
- Assist with cost analysis, price breakdowns and supplier quotations to support negotiation and budget control.
- Coordinate sample validation, quality inspections and follow-up on corrective actions with suppliers and Quality teams.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables; update procurement trackers and participate in cross‑functional project meetings (R&D, Production, Quality, Legal).
- Contribute to supplier qualification, onboarding and performance monitoring, including sustainability and regulatory compliance checks.
- Prepare purchase orders and support transactional activities within the procurement system.
- Produce clear reports and presentation materials for stakeholders, summarizing status, risks and decisions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s/master’s program in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline (alternance/apprenticeship eligible).
- Strong interest in cosmetics packaging, materials and luxury product quality standards.
- Analytical mindset with capacity for cost breakdowns, technical specification and problem solving.
- Organized, proactive and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Professional command of French; good working knowledge of English for cross‑border supplier interactions.
- Prior internship or academic project experience in procurement, packaging or supplier coordination is a plus.
Skills
Experience
Previous internship experience (6–12 months) or relevant academic projects in packaging, procurement or supplier coordination preferred; demonstrated exposure to cosmetics or consumer‑packaged goods is an advantage.
Education
Enrolled in a tertiary programme (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) in Packaging, Materials, Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent — alternance/apprenticeship status required.
