Chanel Vancouver seeks an Operations Assistant to support store operations, inventory and logistics for the luxury boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day retail operations for the Vancouver store including inventory control, stock replenishment and stockroom organisation.
  • Process and track shipments, returns and inter-store transfers; liaise with logistics partners and central distribution as required.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare operational reports and KPI dashboards for management using sales and inventory data.
  • Coordinate with sales floor, visual merchandising and store management to ensure product availability and readiness for client demand and events.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and retail procedures, including loss prevention and quality standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency during peak periods and product launches.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in retail operations, inventory control, logistics or supply chain — experience in luxury retail is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail; proven ability to manage multiple operational tasks under tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across store, regional and central teams.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism appropriate to a luxury brand environment.

Experience

Typically requires 1–3 years of practical experience in retail operations, inventory management or logistics. Prior exposure to luxury fashion retail or high-value merchandise operations is desirable.

Education

Post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline preferred.
