Market Financial Controller
Chanel is hiring a Market Financial Controller in Seoul to lead local financial control, reporting and business partnering for the market.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for the local market, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting to market leadership and regional finance.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning cycles; drive scenario analysis and reforecasts in partnership with commercial teams.
- Implement and monitor internal controls, compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/K-GAAP as applicable) and local regulatory requirements.
- Act as primary finance business partner to market leadership, providing commercial insight, margin analysis and decision support for pricing, promotions and inventory.
- Coordinate with regional/corporate finance, tax and audit teams to support statutory reporting, audits and tax filings.
- Lead or mentor local accounting/finance staff; identify process improvements and drive system or automation initiatives to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, KICPA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation and local tax/statutory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate management reporting under tight deadlines and to translate numbers into actionable commercial recommendations.
- Proven experience implementing or maintaining internal controls and supporting external audits.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive finance experience with a focus on controlling, retail or consumer goods finance; prior exposure to luxury retail or multinational corporate finance is strongly preferred. Experience supervising a small team and interacting with regional/corporate finance functions is desirable.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA/KICPA) preferred.
