Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver bespoke make‑up consultations and application services at the Selfridges Oxford Street counter, ensuring each client receives a personalised, high‑end experience.
  • Build and maintain a loyal client book through proactive clienteling, appointment management and follow‑up communications.
  • Achieve individual and counter sales objectives through product recommendations, up‑selling and cross‑selling of skincare, fragrance and colour cosmetics.
  • Maintain Chanel visual merchandising, counter presentation and stock levels in strict accordance with brand standards and Selfridges guidelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation and product safety protocols during all services and demonstrations.
  • Represent the brand at in‑store events, masterclasses and promotional activations, collaborating with retail leadership and marketing teams.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems, process transactions and manage returns in line with store policies.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in makeup artistry, beauty therapy or equivalent vocational training; demonstrable portfolio of work preferred.
  • Proven track record in luxury beauty retail or department store counter environment (typically 2+ years).
  • Right to work in the UK and availability to work retail hours including weekends and peak seasonal periods.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a sales‑oriented mindset and strong client relationship management.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and commitment to maintaining Chanel brand standards.
