Chanel Paris is hiring a Beauty Advisor Intern (STAGE) — join the boutique beauty team in Paris to support client consultations and merchandising.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support boutique beauty team in daily client consultations for makeup and skincare, delivering personalised product recommendations and demonstrations.
  • Assist in execution of client appointments, including makeovers, skin analyses and product sampling, ensuring an exceptional, signature Chanel experience.
  • Contribute to sales activity by following up on leads, recording client preferences, and supporting after-sales service to build long-term client relationships.
  • Maintain merchandising and visual standards for the beauty area: replenish displays, manage stockroom inventory and ensure presentation aligns with Chanel guidelines.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and assist with transactional tasks under supervision, including returns and sample tracking.
  • Participate in training sessions on product knowledge, application techniques and brand rituals; apply learnings during client interactions.
  • Support boutique events, product launches and promotional initiatives, including preparation and client outreach.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to client files, appointment scheduling and basic reporting to the boutique management team.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or professional programme in cosmetics, aesthetics, retail, marketing or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in beauty, makeup and skincare.
  • Excellent presentation and client service aptitude; ability to create rapport with discerning clients.
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple boutique tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by boutique operations.
  • Prior customer-facing retail or beauty experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

Internship-level role; previous retail or beauty internships (3–12 months) are advantageous but not required. Candidates should demonstrate client-facing aptitude and an interest in luxury cosmetics.

Education

Enrolled in or recently completed higher education in beauty, cosmetics, aesthetics, retail, marketing or a related discipline.
