Chanel is hiring a Make Up Specialist in Kuala Lumpur — client-facing makeup artist delivering bespoke services and driving beauty sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide bespoke makeup consultations and application services tailored to each client’s needs and skin type, across day, evening and couture looks.
  • Deliver product recommendations and drive sales of Chanel beauty, fragrance and skincare lines through expert product knowledge and personalized clienteling.
  • Manage and grow a personal client portfolio: book and confirm appointments, follow up on aftercare and cultivate long-term relationships.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and boutique sales targets, contribute to KPI achievement and report sales performance to management.
  • Maintain immaculate hygiene, sanitation and presentation standards for all tools, testers and workstations in accordance with brand protocols.
  • Support merchandising and visual presentation of the beauty counter, including stock replenishment, inventory control and SKU rotation.
  • Participate in brand training, product launches and in-store events; coach junior staff and share technical expertise when required.
  • Accurately document client preferences and service records using the boutique’s CRM or sales platform.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in makeup artistry, cosmetology or a related vocational qualification preferred.
  • Professional training or demonstrable certification in makeup application techniques (bridal, editorial, airbrush) is an advantage.
  • Right to work in Malaysia and availability to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and a commitment to the standards of a luxury beauty maison.

Experience

Preferably 2+ years of professional experience in luxury beauty retail or as a professional makeup artist with proven client-facing sales results.

Education

Vocational diploma or certificate in makeup artistry, cosmetology or equivalent; secondary education completed.
