Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver bespoke makeup consultations and applications in a boutique setting, tailoring services to individual client needs and skin types.
- Achieve and exceed boutique beauty sales targets through product recommendations, retail transactions and bespoke service upsells.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Chanel cosmetics and skincare ranges; communicate product benefits, routines and usage techniques to clients.
- Build and sustain a clienteling book through follow-ups, appointment management and VIP service for repeat and high-value clients.
- Uphold strict hygiene, sanitation and safety protocols for tools, products and treatment areas; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to visual merchandising, product displays and presentation of beauty counters to reflect Chanel brand standards.
- Support in-store events, masterclasses and photoshoots; collaborate with the boutique team and regional makeup artists for activations.
- Manage stock levels, complete sales and service reporting, and assist with inventory administration as required.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in makeup artistry, cosmetology or equivalent vocational certification.
- Demonstrable experience working with luxury beauty or premium cosmetic brands.
- Proven track record of retail sales performance and client development in a boutique or counter environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Right to work in Malaysia or valid work permit for employment in Kuala Lumpur.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of professional makeup experience, preferably within luxury beauty retail, a cosmetics counter, professional backstage work or a high-end salon environment; demonstrable clientelling and sales experience is expected.
Education
Certificate or diploma in makeup artistry or cosmetology, or equivalent professional training and demonstrable portfolio.
