Chanel seeks a Maintenance Technician in Chamant, France to maintain and troubleshoot industrial production equipment at its manufacturing site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery to ensure continuous, quality operation of manufacturing lines.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic failures; restore equipment to specification with minimal downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections, calibrations and adjustments; maintain accurate maintenance logs and service reports.
  • Implement and contribute to preventive maintenance programmes, spare parts management and spare-parts forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality and engineering teams to prioritise interventions and support process improvements.
  • Support installation, commissioning and modification of new equipment and tooling; ensure safe handover to production.
  • Follow and enforce health, safety and environmental procedures (lockout-tagout, risk assessments, machine guarding).
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, TPM) and propose technical upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Vocational technical diploma (BTS, Bac Pro or equivalent) in Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics or related discipline.
  • Formal training or certification in industrial safety and lockout‑tagout procedures.
  • Valid driving licence (category B) preferred for intersite interventions.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within textile, leather goods, packaging or other manufacturing environments; experience with automated production lines and PLC-controlled equipment is highly valued.

Education

BTS / Bac Pro in Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics or equivalent.
