Chanel in Paris is seeking a Legal Intern to join their dynamic team. This full-time position involves drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting legal research, and supporting the legal department's operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Draft, analyze, negotiate, and monitor various commercial contracts in both French and English, including indirect procurement contracts and confidentiality agreements.
  • Assist in drafting real estate legal documents such as leases, sublease agreements, termination protocols, and notices.
  • Prepare legal correspondence, memos, meeting summaries, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external operational and commercial stakeholders.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain legal vigilance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal practices and processes.
  • Provide assistance on various other matters within the department.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Law (Bac+5 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a law firm or corporate legal department (internship, professional contract, etc.).
  • Proficiency in real estate law, contract law, and/or commercial law.

Skills

Exceptional drafting and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. Proactive, autonomous, and team-oriented. Dynamic, committed, agile, and service-oriented. Fluency in English is essential.

Experience

Previous experience in a legal setting, either in a law firm or a corporate legal department, is required.

Education

Advanced degree in Law (Bac+5 or equivalent).
