Junior Boutique Cashier

Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the boutique point-of-sale system to process cash, card and contactless payments accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and reconcile the cash drawer daily, prepare deposits and follow internal cash-handling procedures and controls.
- Deliver exemplary client-facing service during transactions, ensuring privacy, discretion and a seamless checkout experience.
- Support sales advisors with order processing, receipts, invoicing, returns and exchanges in accordance with Chanel policies.
- Assist with packaging, gift-wrapping and presentation of purchases to the brand’s luxury standards.
- Monitor stock movements at point of sale, register client requests and liaise with stockroom and visual team as needed.
- Adhere to boutique security, anti-theft and loss-prevention protocols and report irregularities promptly.
- Contribute to a polished boutique environment by maintaining the checkout area and supporting visual merchandising when required.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience (preferably 1–2 years), ideally within luxury or premium retail.
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and proven ability to manage cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Professional presentation, discretion and commitment to delivering high-touch client service.
- Legal right to work in Germany and flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Fluency in German is strongly preferred; proficiency in English is an advantage.

Experience
Typically 1–2 years of hands-on cashier or retail experience, with prior exposure to luxury or premium-brand service and point-of-sale responsibilities preferred.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; vocational retail or commerce training is advantageous.
